Frequently Asked Questions
What is leadership coaching and how does it work? +
Leadership coaching is a structured, confidential partnership between a certified coach and a leader that focuses on developing specific skills, shifting behaviors, and achieving professional goals. At Peak Potential, it works through a six-step process: discovery, assessment, goal setting, coaching sessions, real-world application, and a final review to sustain growth. Sessions are typically 60 minutes and held every two to three weeks.
How much does leadership coaching cost? +
Our packages start from US$700 for the Resilience package (three 45-minute focused sessions). The Growth package is US$1,800 for six sessions and the Transformation package is US$3,500 for twelve sessions. A complimentary discovery conversation is included before any commitment.
What's the difference between executive coaching and leadership coaching? +
Executive coaching typically focuses on senior leaders at the C-suite and VP level navigating strategic decisions, board relationships, or organizational complexity. Leadership coaching is broader and includes managers, directors, and emerging leaders at all levels who want to improve how they lead teams. At Peak Potential, we offer both, tailored to where you are in your career.
How long does a leadership coaching engagement last? +
Engagements at Peak Potential range from three sessions (roughly six to eight weeks) to twelve sessions (six to nine months), depending on the package. Research consistently shows sustained behavior change requires at least three to six months of coaching, which is why the Growth and Transformation packages are the most popular for leaders who want lasting results.
Is leadership coaching available virtually or only in person? +
All Peak Potential coaching sessions are available virtually via video call, which means we work with leaders across North America, Japan, Singapore, Australia, the Philippines, India, and China. In-person sessions may be arranged for clients based in Tokyo or Vancouver on request.
What qualifications should I look for in a leadership coach? +
Look for a coach who holds an ICF (International Coaching Federation) credential, specifically ACC (Associate Certified Coach) or higher, which requires documented coaching hours and demonstrated competency. You should also look for relevant industry experience, familiarity with your cultural or organizational context, and a clear coaching methodology. Peak Potential's lead coach Matt Gates holds ICF ACC certification and specializes in cross-cultural leadership environments.
